Programs

Joy Grants

Annual grants awarded to schools to provide fitness and nutrition education based programming such as FitFest, 4th Grade Relays, and campus based run clubs. Additionally, grants have been used to purchase fitness equipment, academic learning labs, and active learning furniture for classrooms and libraries.

Movement matters

This campaign promotes the movement of students and families through two key initiatives. First is Run Clubs. GiveJoy provides funding for a run tracking software, hardware, and incentives for campuses. Students are encouraged to accumulate miles each week and are rewarded at their campus and provided entry into external community races. Second is PE Bags. These are sponsored duffle bags containing activity equipment like frisbees, jump ropes, and balls. The bags are awarded to a different student each weekend. Students and families are tasked with creating their own fun activity and recording it in a shared journal.
